Our Company

Let’s Talk Kids (LTK) prides itself in being the largest Speech and Drama studio in Queensland.

LTK classes are run by qualified Speech and Drama teachers who love primary aged children and love and understand the theatre. This year LTK will aim to have over 400 students enrolled.

The main focus of every class is to develop skills in the performing arts and therefore develop individual communication and presentational skills.

Our Staff

Kate is an award-winning vocalist, musical director and vocal coach. She has been the musical director and director for many productions – ‘Grease’ and Chicago to name a few. She is currently working as a musical director at a new theatre company BG performing arts. Kate is also a performer, and has had experience performing in over 50 shows, including 'Legally Blonde', 'Into the Woods', 'Chicago' to name a few. Kate has had the pleasure of touring with one of Australia's biggest Musical Theatre company's. Kate specialises in teaching primary and high school children in all areas of the performing arts.

Certificate IV (Musical Theatre)

Lily Daniel is a Darwin based performer who spends her days entertaining children at the Royal Darwin Hospital with the Starlight Children’s foundation. Originally from Mackay Queensland, Lily trained as a dancer for 15 years and during this training completed a number of drama and dance examinations. In 2021 Lily attained her ATCL qualifications – associate diploma of performing from Trinity College. Lily also completed in Brisbane her Bachelor of Fine Arts with distinction with QUT in 2023. In 2026 Lily will be choreographing and stage managing Chicago the Musical for Darwin’s Musical Theatre. Lily is very excited to come back in 2026 and stage manage again like she has for the past three shows.

Lily Daniel

Associate Diploma (Performing)

Isaac is a Brisbane-based performer and arts educator with experience in acting, singing, and saxophone performance. He is currently studying his Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the Queensland Conservatorium. Isaac has performed as an actor, singer, and instrumentalist at numerous eisteddfods and appeared as Sebastian in Ormiston College’s production of The Little Mermaid in 2023. He was also awarded Class Dux of Drama at Ormiston College in the same year. With a strong commitment to arts education, Isaac has taught primary and secondary students across South East Queensland through both workshops and private tutelage in both acting and music-making . His leadership experience in public speaking and event administration further supports his work as an educator and mentor. As an active performer and educator, Isaac is passionate about helping students develop confidence, communication skills, memorisation techniques, and strategies for managing performance anxiety, and is incredibly excited to share his knowledge with the newest generation of performers.

Isaac Bell

Amity Barker began her dance training at the age of three with Theatre and Dance under Kim Bowkett, where she pursued a pre-professional education. Between the ages of 16 and 17, she further refined her skills through their esteemed part-time program, studying her Certificate III in Dance under the guidance of Kylie Goeldner. Seeking to elevate her training and performance career, Amity continued her dance education at Conroy Dance Centre under Shelle Conroy, gaining invaluable industry experience and professional mentorship. Amity made her professional debut in 2013 in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang the Musical, produced by Gordon Frost performed at QPAC. She went on to work across televised commercials and high-profile auditions for productions including Matilda the Musical and Annie, as well as many other opportunities. At 17 years old, Amity secured the principle role of Sparkle the Elf in Christmas in Storyland, directed by Kim Bowkett and Shelle Conroy. In the same year, she was awarded a scholarship to train at the Australian Musical Theatre Academy in Melbourne under the guidance of industryprofessional Queenie van de Zandt. After taking time away from travelling and performing, Amity redirected her focus toward dance education, teaching at numerous studios and sharing her passion, knowledge, and industry experience with the next generation of performers.

Amity Barker

Abi is a passionate performer who enjoys exploring her talents as an actor and musician. She has achieved her Drama grade 7 trinity college qualification as well as experiencing success in eisteddfods, including winning the title of Brisbane’s open drama champion. She has participated in many musicals, the most notable being performing in The Little Mermaid as Flounder. Abi has sung backing vocals for Mirusia Louwerse as well as the rock band ‘The Angles’ on their recent tour of Australia. She is a talented singer and guitarist and is well known for regularly gigging locally. She is currently studying a Bachelor of fine arts degree majoring in Music at Queensland University of Technology.

Abi Thomas

Chloe is an experienced and committed actor, participating in several musicals such as Bring It On and playing Ursula, The Little Mermaid. She has also been apart of two movies, Swimming for Gold and Streamline. Chloe has excellent results as a performer in a variety of Eisteddfods and has had Speech and Drama vocal training for eight years. Chloe has achieved her level 8 Speech and Drama with Trinity. Chloe is studying at University of Queensland this year and is looking forward to assisting LTK students in discovering their passions for Speech and Drama.
