LTK each year competes in two eisteddfods. Their own eisteddfod is held at The Bulimba Community Centre. This year it will be held Sunday – May 24.
LTK also competes in The Redlands Eisteddfod in September during the school term. This competition is held at Star Of the Sea – Cleveland. Dates to be advised.
An Eisteddfod gives talented students exposure to the stage. It also provides students with competition so students and parents can strive to develop their skills in a public arena.
Every eisteddfod has an adjudicator that gives written feedback.
LTK students are given the opportunity to enter one or both eisteddfods. This opportunity occurs late February and children who wish to do this will pay a small fee.
All children can compete in a variety of sections – humorous verse and Australian verse being the most popular. Experienced and advanced performers can enter character.
